BUA Group Rejects Claims of 70% Kano Pillars Bid, Calls Reports “Inaccurate”

BUA Group has dismissed reports claiming that it has submitted a bid to acquire a 70% stake in Nigerian football club Kano Pillars, describing the publication as false.
In a statement issued on Monday, the conglomerate said neither the company nor its chairman, Abdul Samad Rabiu, had made any offer to purchase a stake in the Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) side.
The statement added that there had been no discussions or engagement with any individual or organisation regarding a potential acquisition of the club.
“Our attention has been drawn to an online publication suggesting that BUA Group and its Chairman, Abdul Samad Rabiu, have submitted a bid to acquire a 70% stake in Kano Pillars Football Club.
“We would like to clarify that this report is inaccurate and does not reflect any position, action, or communication from BUA Group or Abdul Samad Rabiu. No such bid has been made, and there has been no engagement with any party on this matter.”
The company urged football fans, stakeholders and media organisations to disregard the report and rely only on information released through its official communication channels.
BUA Group also thanked the public for its continued interest in the company and called for responsible reporting on matters relating to its business activities.
The clarification comes amid growing speculation over the future ownership and investment structure of Kano Pillars, one of Nigeria’s most successful and widely supported football clubs. However, BUA Group’s statement makes clear that it is not involved in any proposed takeover or equity acquisition at this time.
