Bayelsà: Do Foundation inducts Wife of NDDC Boss, Ex-Acting Gov, 19 others in Niger Delta Gender Champions Hall of Fame.

The Dise Ogbise Foundation in collaboration with the Bayelsa State Ministry of Education has Inducted eminent scholars and personalities into the Niger Delta Gender Champions Hall of Fame.
The induction ceremony, which was held at the Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC) Conference Hall with the theme “Making History; Inspiring Generations,” brought together personalities from different professional backgrounds, reflecting the project’s focus on recognising individuals whose achievements and service can serve as inspiration to others.
Among those inducted in the Hall of Fame project are the a Medical Doctor and President of Ohaneze Ndigbo Worldwide Bayelsa State, Dr. Frank Ugochukwu Odunukwe, Wife of the Former Bayelsà Acting Governor, Mrs. Esther Seibarugu and Wife of the Managing Director of the Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC), Her Eminence Amaba Samuel Ogbuku.

Also honoured are the Chief Medical Director (CMD) of the Federal Medical Centre (FMC), Yenagoa, Bayelsa State, is Dr. James Enimi Omietimi, a prominent Nigerian gender advocate and public health professional based in Bayelsa State, Dr. Rosemary Oweifawari, the State Chairperson of NAWOJ, Mrs. Grace Orumeiyefa, a Legal Practitioner and National Legal Adviser of the Ijaw National Congress (INC), Bomo Tons Fetepigi Obhe Esq, Director of Finance and Accounts at the Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC), Dr. Kunemofa Asu, FCNA, FSM and Founder and Group President/CEO of the United Minds Humanitarian Foundation, Engr. Uchechukwu D. Orluwene.
Others are Dr. Gbanai Oweifa,Teresa Briseimo and Faith Columbus Bunatongha, Mrs. Gloria Wodu.
Also honoured with Institutional Excellence are the National Agency for the Prohibition of Trafficking in Persons (NAPTIP), Bayelsa State, HRM Queen Tecy Diongoli, Dr. Mrs. Joan Filatei, Iruofagha Lawrence Okutuate, CSP Diseimi Andazi Yekwe and media company, the Closer TV.

The collaboration with the Bayelsa State Ministry of Education and other partners underscores the importance of institutional support in promoting positive role models and inspiring younger generations through the recognition of individual achievements.
The Hall of Fame initiative is positioned as a platform for celebrating personalities whose contributions and experiences can encourage young people to pursue excellence and make meaningful contributions to their communities.
The 2026 induction ceremony further highlighted the importance of preserving the stories of educated individuals in the gender space by using their achievements as an inspiration to young boys and girls across the Niger Delta.
The high point of the event was the unveiling of the hall that is domiciled in the Bayelsa State ministry of Education.

The inductees expressed appreciation to both the Hon commissioner of Education Dr Gentle Emelah and Dr Dise Dise Ogbise’s Goddy Harry who is the team lead of Do foundation for appreciating all their great works in the gender space.
