Itumeleng Khune – 4/10

A forgettable night for the veteran goalkeeper, who made one appalling mistake.

He was unable to keep an effervescent Wydad side at bay.

  • Siyabonga Ngezana – 4/10

Eviscerated by Muaid Ellaf on the right flank.

Ngezana was often guilty of offering Wydad with far too much space and was hampered by his inexperience in the right-back position.

  • Reeve Frosler – 5/10

Tormented by the skillful Mohammed Ounajem, who grabbed a goal and an assist on the night.

  • Ramahlwe Mphahlele – 4/10

At fault for the fourth goal and he struggled to keep pace with the game.

  • Anthony Akumu – 5/10

Could not cope with Wydad’s high press.

  • Willard Katsande – 4/10

Caught off pace as he struggled to keep up with Wydad’s midfield play.

Katsande failed to contain playmaker Walid El Kart, who created a lot of chances for the hosts from midfield and grabbed an assist.

  • Njabulo Blom – 5/10

Tidy with his passes whenever he was on the ball.

    Kearyn Baccus – 6/10

Calm on the ball as he kept play ticking in midfield for Chiefs.

Baccus fired the Soweto giants’ first shot on target and he found himself in promising positions, but he couldn’t take his chances.

    Lebogang Manyama – 5/10

Firmly kept under wraps by the Wydad defence.

    Samir Nurkovic – 5/10

Closely marked by Amine Aboulfath and struggled to fully test the hosts.

    Leonardo Castro – 5/10

Could not get into the game and he was largely a peripheral figure.
