Nigerians react to Okonjo-Iweala’s confirmation as DG, WTO
Nigerians on social media have jubilated over the appointment of Dr. Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala as the new Director-General of the World Trade Organisation, WTO.
Her appointment was confirmed on Monday at a special meeting of the WTO special council.
Okonjo-Iweala became the first woman and African to lead the WTO.
Her appointment has stirred reactions from Nigerians on social media who applauded her and described the new position as well deserved.
