PAP: No blackmail, name calling can erase Iconic records of Kingsley K. Kuku – Group tells detractors

A group, the Niger Delta Youths Alliance (NDYA) has dismissed as “feeble” and “laughable” the attempts by some desperate persons sponsored to disparage the reputation of the Iconic former Special Adviser to the President of Nigeria on Niger Delta and Chairman of the Presidential Amnesty Programme (PAP), Hon. Dr. Kingsley K. Kuku, popularly known as K3.

According to the group, despite the futile attempts by some sponsored ex-militants and name calling against the person of Hon. Dr. Kingsley K. Kuku, it is on record that Hon. Kingsley K. Kuku (PhD) is the most successful handler of the Presidential Amnesty Programme (PAP) since its inception. May we remind our fellow Niger Deltans and Nigerians at large that at some point between 2012 to 2015 under the leadership of K3, the PAP had over 3,000 indigent Niger Delta Youths successfully engaged in foreign universities and technical institutions across the world.

The Niger Delta Youths Alliance (NDYA), in a statement issued via electronic mail and made available to newsmen by its national coordinator, Chief Timi Amaebi, stated that, inspite of the change in the value of foreign exchange, parts of the era of Kingsley Kuku between 2012 and 2015 at the Presidential Amnesty office saw Niger Delta Youths enrolled in institutions at Cambridge, Lufthansa training, University of Vermont, University of Alabama, and other institutions across the United States, West Indies, South America, South Africa, Ghana, Malaysia, United Kingdom, France, Jordan, Greece, Germany, Australia, and many other countries including in the best public and private institutions in Nigeria.

The group argued that “all successive administrators of the PAP have not met the standard and achievements set by Hon. Dr. Kingsley K. Kuku. He empowered thousands of Niger Delta youths, women, and children. Infact, none of the successive administrators have done even 10 percent of what K3 did at the Amnesty office. He was able to elevate the Niger Delta region and the nation by contributing to security of the nation’s wealth, boost the nation’s economy and the world at large.”

“Under the Kingsley Kuku led Presidential Amnesty, we had youths from the region living in Nigeria and abroad and receiving the best education. The nation will start hearing about hundreds of Niger Delta youths across the world within the next few years as being Pacesetters in their various fields. This is because, as a visionary leader, K3 saw the intellectual vacuum in our youths and filled it with education and intellectual empowerment.”

“Unlike the present crop at the PAP office that instigates division amongst beneficiaries and sponsors human rights violations at the most extreme levels ever known to mankind, the Kingsley Kuku strategy involved quick and proactive engagement of elders and youths to ensure peace across the region.”

“But now, a divided Amnesty beneficiaries have become tools in the hands of sponsors of violence and name calling because of stipends. They have become tools that support the ongoing flagrant abuse of human rights and illegal arrest of those against their style.”

The group insisted that Kingsley Kuku, a true son of the Niger Delta region, “will forever be remembered for his unapparelled legacy by thousands of Amnesty beneficiaries and youths and elders across the Niger Delta region for assisting them to earn a quality education and living successfully with their married partners around the world.”

“K3 will forever remain as a man of the people, and the Presidency if properly advised, and in the interest of the nation, should be putting up with an exemplary individual like Hon. Dr. Kingsley K. Kuku in charge of an Ambassadorial role to work with the people of the region and beyond on research and technical approaches to peace and security in order to boost the economy of the region and the nation.”

“No amount of blackmail and name calling can ever erase the history and achievements during K3’s era as the Presidential Amnesty boss. It is completely up to this present federal government to either regard or disregard the Iconic standards and achievements of Hon. Dr. Kingsley K. Kuku. He has dedicated himself to be a peace advocate and statesmanship for betterment of the people of Niger Delta and Nigeria at large.”
