Sunny Power Athletic Barbell Global Initiative Holds a One-Day Street to Street Hardcore powerlifting Exercise.
Sunny Power Athletic Barbell Global Initiative has fixed 12th, April, 2025 for the first Yenagoa City street to street hardcore powerlifting competition.
This was contained in a statement signed by Champion Sunday Erepadei Amos ahead of the much anticipated competition in Yenagoa the state capital.
The statement notes that the prize money for the winner is three hundred thousand naira, second place two hundred thousand naira, third position one hundred thousand naira, 4th to 5th have consolation prizes of #50,000.00 and #30,000.00 with other side attractions
Champion Erepadei notes that the one-day programme will witness entertainment from DEE -Y, Boogie Banger, Mc Sweetmouth, Mr. Right Eyerin, Blackgeez and His Excellency Dj Steve with a free fee to see the entertainment.
According to the statement, Yenagoa city street to street hardcore powerlifting competition is geared towards engaging and empowering the youths and to check youth restiveness, criminality and other social vices.
It notes that the competition will be an open championship within Bayelsa State with the aim of creating more awareness of the sport and to encourage youths to get involved in powerlifting sport, stating that his vision is to prepare powerlifting talent-hunt programs for Bayelsa Youths.
The statement explains that this event will open doors of opportunities for the youths in the State and the country at large, pointing out the winners will have financial incentives as well as a platform that will create room for healthy inter-tribal and inter-state youth interactions that is aimed towards the unity of the state and country.
It further explains that the participating fee for the competition is #10,000.00 while the event is expected to be held at the Oxbow Lake Pavilion Swali Yenagoa, stressing that the tournament would help Bayelsa State athletes at the national and international levels.
It added that interested participant are to pick up forms at Ziilies print n Brand opposite Bayelsa Medical University Imgbe Road Amarata, Joebigback Gym NO 37 Osiri Road opposite Cameroon Camp road Ekeki and Silhouette Fitness Gym Silhouette House by Isaac Boro Expressway, Biogbolo Yenagoa.
