Rufai Oseni’s Critics Are Ignorant Of His Potentials — Onuesoke
Chief Sunny Onuesoke, a Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) chieftain and former Delta State Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) governorship hopeful, has described detractors of Arise Television’s presenter, Rufai Oseni, as those who are unaware of the ace interviewer’s potential.
He stated that Oseni’s talent as a talk show presenter is apparent, and that, aside from entertainment, Oseni’s combative manner serves as a counterpoint to public officials by offering a much-needed UFC smackdown to the enjoyment of viewers.
Onuesoke, who made the statement in Asaba, Delta State, on Friday in response to critics of Rufai Oseni, revealed that those who dislike Rufai are mainly the egocentric and the mediocre who despise his brilliant because the true picture it reflects shatters their ego, delusions, or shows their inadequacies.
“Rufai disturbs them by exposing their shortcomings and hypocrisy through his questions.” They respond with insults. Arise should only invite people whose intelligence exceeds their temperament. Frequently, the hostile guests are those who are irritated by deep probing inquiries to which they have no meaningful responses.
“The reason I’m watching Arise today is because Rufai is truthful.” He can find a question that will drive a politician insane, and he says it the way it is regardless of who you are. He is a well-composed and educated journalist who speaks practically everyone’s mind,” he said.
In terms of qualifications, Onuesoke stated that Oseni is young, educated, well-traveled, influential, and well-informed and that he has been a BBC Bristol Analyst on African Issues since 2014 to the present.
“Rufai has spoken at top Ivy League institutions such as Cambridge University and the University of Sussex, among others.” Rufai is a great toastmaster. He has chaired panel discussions for various ministries in the Nigerian and Mauritius governments.
“He is an enthusiastic teacher who has taught English at the National Open University of Nigeria’s various study centers.” He tutors around 5000 Nigerian students throughout Nigerian colleges,” Onuesoke revealed.
He stated that Oseni, like any other Nigerian, has the right to report or inquire about wrongdoing in the country.
“Does Rufai Oseni not consider himself a Nigerian?” Did he not go to the market to buy garri, petrol, and other goods? Why are they castigating him? Is he a visitor? If he asks you a question and you don’t like it, you can skip it,” Onuesoke said.
