YSFON Felicitates with Gov Diri on Re-election Victory
Youth Sports Federation of Nigeria (YSFON) has felicitated with the Governor of Bayelsa State, Senator Douye Diri and his deputy, Senator Lawrence Ewrhudjakpo over their victory in the November 11 governorship election.
Speaking to newsmen shortly after the Victory Thanksgiving at the King of Glory Chapel in Government House, Yenagoa; the National Vice President of YSFON, Mr. Kali Gwegwe said the governor and his deputy deserve a second term due to their achievements in all the sectors of the state.
The former Bayelsa United chairman, noted that the duo are God-fearing and as such, leads with divine guidance, stating that the victory presents another opportunity for the state to continue to consolidate on the gains made over the years in sports and youth development, peace, security and stability.
According to him that Bayelsa State has has never enjoyed so much unity among natives and residents of the state, noting that it was reflected in the mammoth crowd that occupied Imgbi and Swali roads to call on INEC to announce the results of the election after some unexplained delays in doing so.
Gwegwe was particularly happy with the huge investments government has made in taking roads to Brass, Ukubie and Agge. While thanking the prosperity administration for restoring peace in the state and giving civil servants and pensioners the pride of place,
He appealed to governor to consider building a world class stadium in Yenagoa to boost tourism and empower a cross section of youths who have taken sports as their career.
