World Economic Forum: Nigerian Minister, Heineken Lokpobiri fete OPEC Sec Gen, Chevron Boss on efforts to reinforce partnership in Energy sector
The Nigerian Minister of State for Petroleum Resources (Oil), Dr. Heineken Lokpobiri has continued his productive sessions at the ongoing #SpecialMeeting24 of #WEF24, with discussions with the OPEC Secretary General, His Excellency, Haitham Al Ghais and the Chevron President on International Exploration and Production, Mr. Clay Neff.
Sen. Heineken Lokpobiri during the separate engagement sessions emphasised on the need for the reinforcement of the enduring partnership and scrutiny of the current collaborations between oil multinationals including Chevron Exploration and Production Company and the Organisation of Petroleum Exporting Countries (OPEC).
Sen. Lokpobiri, during the meeting with Chevron President on International Exploration and Production, Mr. Clay Neff,said “there is the need to reinforce our enduring partnership. We scrutinized our current collaborations, affirming our commitment to mutual growth.”
“Emphasizing the pivotal role of Chevron, I appealed for sustained and enhanced investment to fuel our collective progress. I articulated our nation’s strategic vision for expanding the energy sector and underscored the conducive investment climate.”

In his meeting with the the OPEC Secretary General, Haitham Al Ghais, Sen. Lokpobiri centered the discussion on reinforcing the Business ties between OPEC and Nigeria,” our business ties with the world oil regulatory body. And I assured him of our unwavering dedication to the principles upheld by OPEC”
