Villarreal have won the Europa League after beating Manchester United on penalties.

Gerard Moreno put the Yellow Submarine ahead in the first half, with Edinson Cavani netting a second-half equaliser to send the game to extra time and, ultimately, spot kicks.

All 10 outfielders for both teams netted their penalties, before Villarreal goalkeeper Geronimo Rulli scored his past United counterpart David de Gea – who then saw his own effort saved.
