Tottenham tipped to complete Danny Ings transfer after Harry Kane suffers ankle injury
It could be a busy final few days in the transfer window but will Tottenham make any moves before Monday’s deadline?
Here is all the latest news from around Tottenham Hotspur Stadium on January 28.
Tottenham have been quiet in the transfer window thus far.
Having brought in seven players in the summer, Spurs have not made any moves in the January window, which was not unexpected given the financial constraints on clubs during the coronavirus crisis.
One player who has been linked with a move is Danny Ings – the Southampton striker who has had a terrific season on the south coast.

And former Aston Villa frontman Gabby Agbonlahor believes Spurs should make their move in the final few days of the window, as reported by the Express.
He said: “[Harry] Kane could play as a number 10, behind Ings or vice-versa to be honest they can both play there.
“I just think it would take Spurs to the next level, they’re missing that extra striker with top, top quality.
“I do like Vinicius but I think if you get Danny Ings you’re making a statement and he could be the reason they go on and finish in the top four this season.”
Player ratings
It was a night to forget for Spurs, but for some players more than others.
Goals from Roberto Firmino, Trent Alexander-Arnold and Sadio Mane gave Liverpool a 3-1 win at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium. And all three strikes were avoidable.
It was not the time for the defenders to have an off-day.
Here’s how reporter Alasdair Gold rated the players and it does not make for good reading.

Kane injury
There is concern at Tottenham after talisman Harry Kane picked up an ankle injury during the game with Liverpool.
The striker went down after an innocuous-looking challenge with Jordan Henderson and carried on until half-time, but did not reappear for the second half.
Kane has a history of ankle injuries and Jose Mourinho and Spurs will be sweating on updates about his fitness ahead of the game with Brighton at the weekend.
