‘Through The Glass Darkly’ Trailer: Shanola Hampton And Robyn Lively Thriller Set To Debut At Frameline Film Festival

The first trailer for Lauren Fash’s thriller Through the Glass Darkly has dropped ahead of its premiere at San Francisco’s LGBTQ Frameline Film Festival on September 19.

Written and directed by Fash and set in Elrod, George, the film follows Charlie (Robyn Lively) and her wife, Angela (Bethany Anne Lind) who have grown distant after their daughter Lily disappeared a year ago. When Elodie Carmichael, the young granddaughter of the town’s most prominent family also goes missing, local law enforcement shifts focus from Lily’s case to hers, sending Charlie into a rage.

Her behavior leads people to believe that she is the main suspect for the disappearance of Elodie. Convinced that the two disappearances are connected, Charlie steps takes matters into her own hands to find some answers. She finds herself being tailed by Amy Hale (Shanola Hampton), a pushy investigative reporter who is also desperate for the truth. The two form an unlikely friendship as they dig deep, uncovering long-buried town secrets that incite paranoia within the sleepy community. As Charlie works tirelessly to clear her name, she unexpectedly uncovers clues that link her to Elodie’s kidnapping while experiencing vivid hallucinations of her missing daughter. As the lines between reality and nightmare blur, Charlie confronts the truth about Lily’s disappearance and a startling revelation about herself.

The film also stars Michael Trucco and Judith Ivey. Fash also produces alongside Autumn Bailey-Ford, Carmella Casinelli, Susan Graham, and Bob Shapiro.
