A gospel skit maker, pastor and one half of the Winlos, Ohis Ojeikere, has said that their new movie titled, ‘Prophet Suddenly’, dwells on corruption among gospel ministers.

In an interview with Saturday Beats, Ojeikere said, “I will say theft, fraud and other forms of corruption. We can see those things play out in our society. They have roots in desperation. When one is too desperate, one can easily be caught in the web of unethical and illegal behaviours.

“I have observed one or two young ministers who were enthusiastic about the gospel lose focus and become engrossed in frivolities, as opposed to keeping their attention on the essentials.

“Serving God, working in his vineyard, leading souls to heaven, and doing miracles in his name are all great things that please God, but they all have to be done for the right reasons.”

Written and directed by Ojeikere, the movie features a special appearance by Arome Osayi, and was produced by Steve Iruedo.

The movie centres around a young minister, Michael, who had the enthusiasm to run a modern-day ministry that thrives and decides to work harder and gather money before continuing the kingdom business.
