Pero Sues Annie Idibia, Demands Public Apology, 500m Naira

Pero Adeniyi, the mother of three of famous singer, 2Face Idibia’s children, has sued Idibia’s wife, Annie, for alleged defamation and libelous online publication.

The mom of three has demanded a sum of N500m Annie and a public apology.

In September, Annie took to Instagram to share some of the challenges in her marriage, including allegations against Pero where she accused her husband of having an affair with her.

Pero had however reacted, saying she shared nothing more than a parental relationship with Idibia as they had three children together.

In the online fisticuffs that ensued, which also included audio recordings of Annie in an outburst Annie lamented that she was tired of the union which was more or less a three-way affair with her inlaws showing her no support when she needed.

She said her husband had jetted off to the US to see Pero, however, she was informed by his manager that he was there for a shoot.

On Saturday November 13, Annie in a heartfelt Instagram post, expressed her apology to her husband and everyone she had offended with her previous outburst. She described it an emotional meltdown which she fell in to without due consideration of the situation.

However, Pero has reacted by serving her a lawsuit.

Referring to Annie’s post, Pero, via her lawyers, issued a letter to Annie, demanding for public apology and the sum of N500m for damages.

Pero claimed that she and 2baba has nothing but a “civil parental relationship” because they share three children together.

The claims are included in a letter signed by Pero’s lawyers, Okonjo, Odiawa, and Ebie Associates titled ‘Re: Malicious and Libelous Online Publication against Pero Adeniyi’.

“It is our instruction to demand that you immediately and completely retract all your allegations by the same measure with which they were published and publicly tender your unreserved apology to our client, not later than 72 hours from your receipt of this letter,” the letter partly read.
