SWAN Bayelsa Congratulates Hon. Igali
The Bayelsa State Chapter of the Sports Writers Association of Nigeria has felicitated with Hon. Daniel Igali over his appointment and swearing in as Commissioner for Youth and Sport Development by Governor Douye Diri of Bayelsa State.
In a statement endorsed by the Chairman, Alambo Datonye and Secretary, George Ameli, SWAN Bayelsa describes the appointment as well deserved.
It notes that as an accomplished Sports Administrator and former star athlete, his appointment did not come as a surprise, stressing that it was that of a round peg in a round hole.
The body expresses the hope that with his second missionary journey to the Ministry, he would use his experience to reposition Sports and fast track the development of the sub sector in the State.
SWAN Bayelsa emphasizes that it looks forward to having a cordial and smooth working relationship with the Commissioner in the quest to reviving the fortunes of Sports.
It urges Hon. Igali to deploy his expertise to bring about a revolution in Sports in the State with investments in infrastructure, athletes welfare and consultation of critical stakeholders.
It expresses confidence on the ability of the Olympic, World and Commonwealth Wrestling Champion in achieving optimal results in the Sports and Youth Development Ministry.
