Super Eagles beat a local club in Dubai- Al Gharbia, who play in the third division – 12-0 in a test game before tomorrow’s AFCON warm-up against Guinea.
Ademola Lookman fired four goals, Victor Osimhen and Moses Simon grabbed a brace with Sadiq Umar and captain Ahmed Musa also getting on the scoresheet.
There were also two own goals as the opposition buckled under the pressure exerted by the AFCON-bound Super Eagles.
Halftime scores stood at 6-0 in favour of the three-time African champions.
The bigger test will come tomorrow when they battle fellow AFCON finalists Guinea in a final warm-up game before they fly out to Nigeria the following day.
Coach Jose Peseiro played several subs as he tried to find the best team to open their 2023 AFCON campaign a week today against Equatorial Guinea in Abidjan.
Both games will be played behind closed doors without fans and the media.
