Summer transfer window 2023: Every confirmed Premier League deal
Stay up to date with all the Premier League ins and outs during the 2023 summer transfer window. Keep refreshing this page for the latest updates.
The summer transfer window could be the richest yet with some huge football futures to be decided.
Liverpool took the first significant step, raiding Brighton for World Cup winner Alexis Mac Allister — and have since followed that up by signing RB Leipzig midfielder Dominik Szoboszlai.
Chelsea started their summer splurge by confirming the arrival of Christopher Nkunku from Leipzig before adding fellow striker Nicolas Jackson.
But the Blues have been even busier shipping players out, with Mason Mount and Kai Havertz among the big names to leave Stamford Bridge.
Mount switched to Manchester United and has since been joined at Old Trafford by Inter Milan stopper Andre Onana and Danish scoring sensation Rasmus Hojlund — the latter a £72million purchase from Atalanta.
Meanwhile, Havertz has headed to Arsenal where he will line up alongside Declan Rice, with the England midfielder finally opting to depart boyhood club West Ham.
Staying in the capital, Tottenham splashed out early on Leicester star James Maddison and have also recruited Wolfsburg defender Micky van de Ven but Harry Kane’s move to Bayern Munich is a huge loss.
When does the summer 2023 transfer window open?
The summer transfer window opened on June 14 for all domestic deals between clubs in England and Scotland.
But they were not able to sign overseas players until the international window opened on July 1.
When does it close?
The final-day countdown will begin on September 1, with the traditional slamming shut of the window set for 11pm.
How about Europe’s other top leagues?
The Football League transfer window opened on the same day as the Premier League but there are some staggered starts across Europe’s top five leagues.
Ligue 1 in France opened slightly earlier on June 10, while LaLiga in Spain, Italy’s Serie A and the German Bundesliga all waited until July 1.
At this stage, Europe’s top five leagues have all agreed to close their transfer windows on September 1.
Do we know when the January 2024 transfer window opens?
Yes. The January 2024 transfer window will open on January 1 and the Premier League have confirmed another 11pm deadline on February 1.
