Store manager shot during simultaneous robbery of three stores in KZN
A pregnant employee had to be treated for an anxiety attack while a manager was shot during a robbery in Spar, Spar Tops and KFC in KZN.

A 37-year-old store manager of Waterloo Spar in KwaZulu-Natal (KZN) has been shot during a robbery on three stores Thursday night
Heavily armed gunmen reportedly stormed the Spar, Tops and KFC simultaneously and robbed staff of cash.
ONE SHOT DURING SIMULTANEOUS ROBBERY
According to Reaction Unit South Africa (RUSA), alcohol was also stolen from a bottle store.
Patrons scattered for cover after the manager of the supermarket was shot. Several shoppers allegedly hid in cold rooms while others fled through a back door.
Just after 19:30, available Reaction officers were dispatched to the centre and on arrival requested Medics for the injured store manager who was shot in the abdomen.
“According to witnesses, approximately 10 suspects entered the businesses while at least six of their accomplices with high calibre rifles remained in the parking lot.
“The suspects fled in three vehicles, a white VW Polo with a CAA registration, a white Toyota Quantum with an ND registration and a silver Hyundai (make and model unknown. A spent 9mm cartridge was recovered at the scene. The registration plates from the Toyota Quantum and the VW Polo as well as shopping baskets belonging to Spar were recovered on Protea Place in Southridge – KZN.”

WESTWOOD MALL JEWELLERY SHOP ROBBED
In a separate incident, also on Thursday, 1 suspects made off with an undisclosed amount of jewellery and a box of vouchers after robbing the shop.
The suspects allegedly held the store’s employees at gunpoint during the robbery, which was captured on video by onlookers and subsequently went viral on social media.
The suspects reportedly fled in the direction of KwaDabeka. No shots were fired during the robbery
