Stay-Home-Order Will Not Impact Igbo Adversely – Iche
LAGOS – Comrade Saviour Iche, the National President of the Ambassadors for Peace and Enlighten Foundation (APEF), has said that the stay-home order issued by the Independent of People Biafra (IPOB) in Southeast geopolitical of the country would not impact the economy of the region negatively.
Speaking in an interview with Daily Independent, he stated that the people of the region were making a sacrifice in quest to secure their freedom.
He posited that the people in the region were obeying the despite the fact IPOB had suspended the order was because the people believed that no sacrifice was too much to realize their objective.
The human rights activist posited that the people were obeying the order because the governors in the region did not have the backing of a huge majority of the citizens and residents. He argued that this was so because the rulers have not delivered on their election promises to the people.
Iche stated that the economy of the states in the region was in shambles, adding that the governors were not build infrastructure but were busing amassing for themselves, family and cronies.
He posited that the actions of the governors have led to high employment numbers, restiveness and crime and criminality among the youth in the region.
