Southampton are making a sensational last-minute swoop for Liverpool attacker Takumi Minamino on loan.

Minamino has been on the fringes of Jurgen Klopp’s side this season and has only played seven minutes of Premier League football since featuring in the entirety of their 7-2 victory over Crystal Palace on December 19.

Reports suggest that talks between Minamino and the Saints are in the advanced stages but a deal is not complete with less than two hours of the window left.
