SIX KEY TACTICAL CONCLUSIONS THAT NEED TO BE FIXED AS THE SUPER EAGLES FACE IVORY COAST
The Super Eagles are going to meet host and highly rated Ivory coast
- Below are 6 key projections the Super eagles technical crew need to fix moving forward👇🏼👇🏼👇🏼
👉 The technical projection/execution of goal scoring moments need to be previewed in training sessions- more needs to be done to improve on goal scoring art especially in the final 3rd
Creating and conversion was not fluid in the last game against Guinea (poor mobility and support) – moving forward team should play as a unit to score more goals with clinical function
(specific and group tactics need to be forensically analysed)
👉Game management is key in creating stability and finding weak links in opponents lines _ proper substitutions was not adequately utilized and couple of tired players were left on the pitch or lately removed
👉In tight game situations set pieces are key to win games _ several set pieces where wasted in numerous dimension
👉Tactically, first and second pole runs was not precise especially from crosses/calculative from the flanks _ most crosses from the flanks where not well timed with poor techniques
👉 Build up play from defence- , midfield and attack was not fluid _ so many intercepted passes and poor passing build ups
👉 Moving forward two strikers should be used with consistent crosses from the flanks and if possible the technical crew should consider using one defensive midfielder in a 4_4_2 formation # team needs to be more offensive with numbers in attack
What do you think …?
