Serie B record-maker of Nigerian descent idolizes Napoli’s Victor Osimhen

Bari striker Hemsley Akpa-Chukwu has revealed that he idolizes Super Eagles talisman Victor Osimhen, Soccernet reports.
Akpa-Chukwu made headlines after his goal for Bari in their 1-1 draw against Pisa in the Serie B on the 16th of September. The 18-year-old was given his debut when Bari was one goal down, and he needed just 13 minutes to make his presence felt, as he scored the vital equaliser to for his side to help them force a draw.
His goal ensured that he became the youngest player to score in the Serie B at just 18 years, two months, and two days of age. Before him, the youngest goalscorer in the Serie B was Samuele Vignato(17 years, six months and one day), who scored in the game between Monza and Pordenone in September 2021.
According to Napoli Magazine, the youngster is a big fan of Super Eagles and Napoli striker Victor Osimhen.
Akpa-Chukwu was born in Cameroon, but he is eligible to play for Belgium and Nigeria. His mother is from Cameroon, his dad is from Nigeria, and he grew up in Belgium.
The youngster started his career at Antwerp before moving to Bari last summer.
