Ruto to attend thanksgiving church service in Kerugoya

President William Ruto will on Sunday morning head to Kirinyaga County for an Interdenominational Thanksgiving Service.

The service will take place at the Kerugoya Stadium starting 9 am.

He will be accompanied by Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua, Kirinyaga Governor Ann Waiguru among other leaders.

Waiguru had met the clergy together with other leaders from the region on Friday ahead of the service.

On Saturday, Ruto in the company of  Prime Cabinet Secretary Musalia Mudavadi and other leaders attended the consecration of the new Kitale Diocese Catholic bishop-elect Henry Odonya.

Fr Henry Juma Odonya will be installed to replace Bishop Maurice Crowley who resigned after leading the dioceses for more than 30 years.

Last week on Sunday, Ruto and Gachagua attended one church service at Bomet County just after the president had left Nyanza Counties.

He also launched some development projects in Kisumu, Siaya and Homabay counties.
