Russ!a To Provide Military Assistance To Nigeria To Defeat Terr0rism

The Nigerian army is set to receive military assistance from Russ!a to fight terr0rism, training of Nigerian military personnel and supplying military equipment.

General Christopher Musa, Nigeria’s Chief of Defence Staff, met with Russ!an Defence Minister Andrey Belousov in Mosc0w on May 10, 2025, to discuss enhancing military cooperation between Nigeria and Russ!a.

This meeting is part of ongoing efforts to strengthen bilateral military-technical collaboration, particularly in counterterr0rism operations.

Russ!a expressed its readiness to assist African countries in bolstering their defense capabilities to counter persistent threats such as foreign-backed terr0rists, arms traff!cking, and other security challenges.
