Rivers APC Suffers Another Defection As Ex-Deputy Speaker, House Of Reps, Nwuche Joins PDP
P/HARCOURT – It was another big loss to the Rivers State chapter of the All Progressives Congress, APC, as another big wig of the party and the former Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives, Rt Hon Chibudom Nwuche made a historic return to the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP.
Receiving the former Deputy Speaker on Friday in Government House, the Rivers State Governor, Nyesom Wike said PDP was strong, firm in its resolve to offer better governance and willing to take over power in 2023 in order to change the fortune of Nigeria.
Governor Wike explained that as a PDP controlled State government, his administration has touched every facet of Rivers State, and offered the people the best that any good governance can afford.
Governor Wike described Chibudom Nwuche as a democrat who has a reckonable name and can add value to the PDP and not become a liability, adding that PDP woos persons who can contribute to the party, work for the welfare of the members and speak for their people.
He, therefore, urged members of the party to dismiss fear that they will be displaced by Nwuche in the scheme of things in the party.
Governor Wike insisted that it is better more people come to join the party since there is room for everyone and nobody will be deprived of what is due to him or her.
