President appoints Dembos as NTA Director General
President Muhammadu Buhari has approved the appointment of Mr. Salihu Abdulhamid Dembos as the Director General/Chief Executive Officer of the Nigerian Television Authority (NTA).
A statement yesterday in Abuja by the Ministry of Information and Culture confirmed Dambos’ appointment.
The statement by the Special Assistant to The President (Media) in the Office of the Minister of Information and Culture, Segun Adeyemi, said the appointment is for a three-year tenure in the first instance.
The statement reads: “President Buhari has appointed Mr. Salihu Abdulhamid Dembos as the Director General/Chief Executive Officer of the Nigerian Television Authority (NTA).
“The Minister of Information and Culture, Alhaji Lai Mohammed, announced the appointment in a statement in Abuja on Wednesday.
“He said the appointment is for a tenure of three years in the first instance.
“Until his appointment, Mr. Dembos was the Executive Director, Marketing, of the NTA.
“Mr. Dembos’ career as a media professional spans over 20 years.
“He has served as General Manager of two NTA stations in Lokoja (Kogi State and Kano (kano State) and as Zonal Director of the NTA in Kaduna, among other appointments.”
