ENUGU – Business and commercial activities were paralysed in Enugu on Saturday following the solidarity rally embarked upon by the supporters of the Labour Party (LP) presidential candidate, Peter Obi.
The crowd, which converged at the Michael Okpara Square on Saturday morning, marched through the city of Enugu, singing solidarity songs for Obi and dancing as they moved.
It was observed that members and supporters of political parties other than Obi’s Labour Party participated in the rally.
The peaceful rally also attracted some residents, who abandoned their activities to join the crowd in chanting “Obi is our next president”.
