PEPT’s verdict: Davido reveals calibre of politicians that can win elections in Nigeria
David Adeleke, Nigeria’s Afrobeats singer, (aka Davido) has claimed that elections in Nigeria can only be won by the most “rugged” politicians.
Davido made the remark via X (formerly), on Wednesday, September 6, following the verdict of the Presidential Election Petition Tribunal (PEPT).
He tweeted: “Nigeria Election nah by who rugged pass.”
But a netizen who was curious over Davido’s comment asked if his uncle, Governor Ademola Adeleke, won by ruggedness.
The netizen, with the X handle @chief_ochuko, asked: “Na ruggedity ur uncle take win Abi?”
Responding to this, the Unavailable crooner, said that rugged men backed the Osun governor.
His words: “Men mount.”
Meanwhile, President Bola Tinubu has said that the verdict of the PEPT has renewed his goal of unifying and building Nigeria.
Tinubu was quoted to have said this in a statement released by his media aide, Ajuri Ngelale, hours after the PEPT upheld his election victory on Wednesday, September 6, in Abuja.
