Patoranking, one of Africa’s biggest music artistes, has been confirmed as a headline act for the live performance at the grand finale of Nigerian Idol Season 6, Africa’s biggest music talent show.

After 12 weeks of electrifying music performances and nonstop excitement, Nigerian Idol Season 6 will wrap up with a live show which airs by 7pm on Sunday, July 11, 2021. The online polls have closed, and by the end of the night, the viewing public will find out who wins the competition, and ultimately walks away with N50 million naira worth of prizes.

Patoranking, real name Patrick Nnaemeka Okorie, was born at Ijegun-Egba in Lagos on May 27, 1990. He burst into mainstream consciousness when his hit single “Alubarika”, rolled out by Timaya’s Dem Mama Records,  was released in 2013. Since then, he has put out three studio albums: God Over Everything (2016), Wilmer (2019) and Three (2020). He is credited with some of Nigeria’s biggest pop singles, including “Girlie O”, “No Kissing Baby”, “Suh Different” and “Abule”, among others. He currently sits as a judge on the music talent show The Voice Nigeria.

Other artistes scheduled to perform at this season’s finale include RnB crooner Chike, award-winning music producer Cobhams Asuquo, and fast-rising pop artiste Ayra Starr.

The winner of Nigerian Idol Season 6 will walk away with a recording deal of a six-track EP, with music video shoots for three of the songs, and over 50 million Naira worth of prizes which include a ₦30 million cash prize and a brand new SUV.
