you lit the flame of resistance,

etched forever in the Kaiama Declaration of 1998.
A timeless manifesto of justice,
a banner of self-determination,
a compass for the Niger Delta.
As the first and only collegiate leader
of the Ijaw Youth Council Worldwide,
you taught unity in a season of division,
you embodied service and inclusiveness,
laying the foundation of youth activism,
inspiring generations
who still carry your fire.
We salute your courage, your wisdom,
your unwavering stand for equity.
Your life’s work is a beacon,
