Bayelsa State will on Saturday 28 June, 2025 join the rest of the world to celebrate this year’s Olympic Day, which will take place across the country.
This year’s Olympic Day run will kick off with a walk from the Ekeki park in Yenagoa to terminate at the Samson Siasia Stadium with a lot of activities to mark the day.
The annual event, which promotes the Olympic values of excellence, friendship and respect, has gained momentum in recent years, with organisers expanding activities to encourage wider public participation.
The celebration will feature a variety of non-competitive sporting activities such as jogging and walking, designed to encourage calorie burning, muscle toning, and overall wellbeing.
