NYSC sets up Court at Bayelsa camp, warn Corps members against misconduct

...says court will operate based on NYSC Bye-Laws

Authorities of the National Youths Service Corps in Bayelsa State has set up a Court at the Orient camp located in Kaiama, Kolokuma/Opokuma Local Government Area of the State.

The Camp court is to adjudicate based on the NYSC Bye -Laws which is provided for the 2025 Batch A, Stream 2 undergoing Orientation Course.

The State Coordinator, Mrs Okpalifo Obiageli Charity, while inaugurating the three Corps Camp Directors and the Camp Court for the 2025 Batch A, Stream 2 Orientation Course enjoined them to be fair, firm and be guided by the NYSC Bye -Laws.

She also advised corps members to be abreast with the content of the Bye -Laws as to enable them navigate through the service without hitch.

She urged them to avoid all actions that would make them face the camp court, enjoining them to work closely with the Camp Director to ensure fair representation and implementation of all camp policies.

She urged the Corps members to support the Corps Camp Directors as they stand as liaison officers between management and the corps members, charging them to be above board and live exemplary life style befitting the noble office of Corps Camp Directors.

Earlier, the Camp Director, Mr Abiodun Rotimi while presenting the nominated Corps Camp Directors to the State Coordinator for inauguration said that they were carefully selected and briefed on the nature of their duties.

The details of the three Corps Camp Directors are: Hamzat Hammed Mayowa (BY/25A/2319), Isaac Favour Sorbarisere
(BY/25A/2066), Favour Chisom Okolo
(BY/25A/2281).

Highlights of the inauguration of the Corps Camp Directors were presentation of their appointment letters, decoration in Customized jacket and group photographs with members of Camp Court.
