NSSA chief meets Bahraini Ambassador to Israel
Manama, Aug. 28 (BNA): Chief Executive Officer of the National Space Science Agency (NSSA), Dr. Mohammed Ibrahim Al-Asiri, held a meeting with the Bahraini Ambassador to the State of Israel, Khalid Yousif Al-Jalahma.
Dr. Al-Asiri thanked the ambassador for his keenness to meet NSSA to be informed closely about its role in achieving sustainable development goals, wishing him every success in undertaking the diplomatic tasks entrusted to him, to bolster cooperation between the Kingdom of Bahrain and the State of Israel across various fields, including space.
A brief presentation on the kingdom’s space policy, NSSA’s strategic plan 2018-2023, and present and future projects was given.
The two sides also reviewed the potential cooperation fields between NSSA and the relevant authorities in the State of Israel, which will pave the way for cooperation between the two countries in the space fields, including its sciences and applications.
Ambassador Al-Jalahma expressed thanks to NSSA for the efforts it is exerting to develop the space sector in the kingdom, noting that its achievements are a source of pride for all Bahrainis.
He also affirmed his readiness to support NSSA’s efforts in a way that would enable it to achieve its primary goals of placing the kingdom among leading countries in the space field.
