The NNPP Candidate for Kano State governorship election, Abba Kabir-Yusuf, has emerged victorious.
The INEC returning officer, Professor Amadoko Ibrahim, announced the victory on Monday morning following the collation of the results, where Abba Kabir-Yusuf secured victory by polling 1,019,602 votes, surpassing APC’s candidate, Nasiru Gawuna, who polled 890,705 votes.
Before the announcements of the results, a dawn to dusk curfew was imposed in the state due to tensions that arose from the collation of results. The reason for this curfew was to avoid a breakdown of law and order.

This is the first victory recorded by NNPP during the guber elections, with APC winning nine states, and PDP winning two states out of the 12 announced results so far.
