New Year: Hon. Fred Agbedi Felicitates With Sagbama/Ekeremor Federal Constituency, Urges Hope For Better Days Ahead

The member representing Sagbama-Ekeremor federal constituency of Bayelsa State in the House of Representatives, Hon. Fred Agbedi, has felicitated with his constituents over the successful ending of the year, 2020.

Agbedi, who stated this in a New Year message, called on the people of Sagbama and Ekeremor Local Government Areas to go into 2021 with renewed hope and optimism for better days ahead.

He stressed that 2020 had gone with its plethora of challenges and unsettling uncertainties.

According to Agbedi, the outgone year would be mostly remembered for the COVID-19 pandemic which caused economic hardship and social disruptions across the entire world as well as the flood disaster that further impacted Bayelsa and other states of Nigeria.

The federal lawmaker commended the Federal Government and the Bayelsa State Government for navigating 2020 with courage and determination despite all the socio-economic, political and security challenges that pervaded the country’s landscape.

Agbedi particularly expressed immense gratitude to God for instituting His love and peace in Bayelsa State, and urged the people to support the Prosperity Agenda of the Governor Douye Diri administration.

He said he has implicit confidence in the avowed commitment of the Diri government to deploy progressive policies and programmes that would ensure equitable spread of development to the three senatorial districts of Bayelsa State.

Agbedi also thanked the people of Sagbama-Ekeremor federal constituency for their support and abiding faith in his capacity to give effective representation at the House of Representatives.

While wishing his constituents in particular and the people of the state in general a fruitful and prosperous New Year, Agbedi called for peace, love and unity for the greater good of society.
