Davido’s 30 BG has won the NET Honours Class of 2022 award for the ‘Most Popular Fandom (Music)’, beating other fan bases like Starboy FC – Wizkid, Simi Army – Simi, Savage Soldiers – Tiwa Savage and Outsiders – Burna Boy. 

Introducing the ‘Most Popular Fandom (Music)’ as a voting category for its Class of 2022 Awards, NET Honours is an annual people’s choice award presented to deserving individuals in the Nigerian entertainment industry with verified data from Netng’s platforms on the web and social.

30 BG – Davido fandom, fiercely trailed by Starboy FC- Wizkid, pulled an impressive 38.1% of the votes in this category. Starboy FC – Wizkid amassed 32.4%. Simi Army – Simi with 14.3%, Savage Soldiers – Tiwa Savage with 8% and Outsiders – Burna Boy with 7.2%.

Being at the top of the chain in the music industry, Davido and Wizkid have had their fans compete against each other on social media time and time again. The debate is usually based on who is more superior in terms of music, family, lifestyle, and awards.

To commemorate his 29th birthday, Davido raised N200 Million from true friends and donated it, together with N50 Million of his own, to orphanages in Nigeria. It is therefore unsurprising that 30 BG fans argue that their fave, Davido, is head above every other artiste mainly because of his philanthropic activities and proclivity towards helping up-and-comers to gain recognition.
