NDSF: Igali Fired Up as Bayelsa and Delta Go Head-to-Head for Glory

Bayelsa State’s Commissioner for Sports Development, Honourable Daniel Igali, is brimming with excitement over the thrilling performances of Team Bayelsa at the ongoing Niger Delta Sports Festival in Uyo
Hon. Igali, conveying the heartfelt pride of Governor Douye Diri, hailed the Bayelsa athletes for their “remarkable” showing so far. With the festival heating up, he couldn’t hide his joy over the team’s grit, passion, and consistency.
In his goodwill message on Monday, Igali applauded the athletes’ efforts, adding that Governor Diri is thoroughly impressed with how Bayelsa continues to raise the bar in sports development.
“As the festival hits the home stretch, we’re rooting for you all the way! Bayelsa is already storming the handball and basketball finals — both men and women — and there’s still more action ahead in wrestling, athletics, and beyond,” he said.
“On behalf of the Governor of Bayelsa State, His Excellency Senator Douye Diri, I commend you for your stellar performances in Uyo. You’ve made Bayelsa proud, once again stamping our authority as a true sports powerhouse in the Niger Delta.”

• Bayelsa leads with 36 gold, 20 silver, and 12 bronze
• Delta hot on their heels with 35 gold, 20 silver, and 23 bronze
• Rivers follows with 17 gold, 11 silver, and 17 bronze
