NDDC Launches Tree-Planting Awareness Programme in Niger Delta Schools

The Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC) has commenced a tree-planting awareness programme aimed at promoting environmental consciousness among pupils and students across the Niger Delta region. The initiative seeks to educate the younger generation on the vital importance of tree planting, particularly in Nigeria’s oil-rich areas that continue to face environmental degradation.

The first phase of the programme was carried out in selected primary schools in Port Harcourt, Rivers State. Subsequent phases will be implemented in secondary schools across the region.
