Former Nigeria Premier Football League forward Robert Mizo said his move to Libya will open doors for other players, BSNSports.com.ng reports.

Bayelsa United on Sunday confirmed that its striker has joined Libyan giant Al Ahli Benghazi on a 2-year deal.

While speaking to the Punch Correspondent about the move, Mizo said the move would also give him an avenue to improve and conquer the impending challenges.

“I’m aware of the prospects ahead in the NPFL but my move to Al Hilal will not just open doors for me but will allow other players to come up as well.

There will be new challenges for me and I must be ready to conquer them,” Mizo said.

Mizo’s 10 goals place him as the second-highest scorer behind Sikiru Alimi of Remo Stars, who has 11 goals.

He also scored nine goals in the abridged league last term, taking his tally in 2023 to 19.
