It will also discuss the role of religious leaders in facing the climate change crisis, as well as ways to enhance dialogue among various schools of Islamic thought, Islamic-Christian relations, and support for interfaith dialogue initiatives.
Ways to confront attempts to impose some behaviours that contravene human nature on Islamic peoples, in addition to attempts to undermine religious values and destabilise the concept of family among youth groups will also be on the agenda of the 16thy meeting of the Muslim Council of Elders in Bahrain.
On the occasion, President of the Supreme Council for Islamic Affairs, Shaikh Abdulrahman bin Mohammed Al Khalifa, affirmed that His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa and his loyal people welcome the meeting and are keen to support its outcomes, based on Bahrain’s principled belief in the importance of coexistence in bringing about peace and fostering human fraternity.
