JW resumes large gathering

After almost three years of virtual fellowship due to the COVID-19 pandemic, Jehovah’s Witnesses are resuming congregation in January.

Although the organisation resumed meetings at its Kingdom Halls in April, its larger assembly facilities have, however, remained under lock.

National spokesman for the religious body in Nigeria, Olusegun Eroyemi, said arrangements have been put in place to ensure that extant safety protocols are observed in all 23 assembly halls nationwide.

His words: “Jehovah’s Witnesses are extremely happy with the opportunity to once again meet at their larger facilities. The virtual assemblies were very helpful, while they lasted, providing much-needed Bible instruction during the pandemic. However, nothing can replace in-person gatherings.”

Eroyemi said 696 assemblies would hold across the federation next year.
