Gloria Diri Foundation Congratulations Athletes on Performance.
The Gloria Diri Foundation GDF investment in the development of sports in Bayelsa State is gradually getting it’s needed results.
The latest success for the foundation is the triumph of two it’s athletes in the ongoing Niger Delta Sports Festival in Uyo, Akwa Ibom State in canoeing after day five of event.
Gloria Diri Foundation prior to the Niger Delta Sports Festival unveiled it’s athletes that would be taking part in the competition to officially bid the athletes farewell for the games.
Goodluck Kingsley in the men’s category won three gold in canoeing while Tubolayefa Sawyer clinched one gold, two sliver in women’s event to confirm the foundation’s unwavering commitment to youths development.
Reacting to the development, Foundation Director of Sports, Mr. Ebiki Timitimi commended the athletes for the show of dexterity throughout the competition, stating that the performance of the athletes is a testament of the first lady’s passion for sports.
According to him, the first lady is pleased with the performance of duo in the festival, pointing out that the foundation is leaving nothing to chance to see that more Bayelsans are positively engaged in sports.
He appreciated the canoeing association head coach Inifa Gagbe and secretary Erekposeigha Timitimi-Funwei for their dedication and passion in ensuring that the athletes return in flying colours.
Mr.Timitimi equally lauded the state first lady for giving utmost attention to the development of sports in Bayelsa State.
