Evaluating Edo State Deputy Governor, Rt Hon Comrade Philip Shaibu’s Aptitudes

By February 2024, with Philip Shaibu, Edo State will have chosen a leader who is not corrupt, but will place other people over his personal needs.

To be competitive in all aspects of this world, it demands radical socio-economic transformation and Philip with the knowledge gathered in his field will usher in the economic change.

Edo needs a visionary governor; one that can inspire her good people and one that can be bold to fight corruption, mismanagement of the state’s resources, cronyism and recklessness in governance.

This State cannot go on doing things as usual. We must elect a governor who has the passion and commitment for rapid development as well as the well-being of the people and delivery of this kind of government is Philip Shaibu, the 100% Home Boy’s vision.

Shaibu’s government will be confident, assertive, innovative and committed to promoting and defending the interest of the people first. We may have the resources in abundance but Shaibu will place more emphasis on the human resources; hoping that when we develop the human resources, we will have our loot. He believes that the people’s interest and development must be placed above our politics and natural resources.

Above all, Shaibu is prepared to seek solutions from within and adopt the philosophies and practices that will deal with the various challenges that the State faces, and development ideas to propel our beloved State towards the best that it deserves -not just the best.

Shaibu promises to operate an open government of integrity and high-level of information management which are the foundation upon which government accountability is built and corruption reduced.

Now just to be clear, the integrity of Shaibu’s in the context means that an open government follows the rule of law and that it works to establish a culture discipline among its representatives and employees.
