English-Born Nigerian Ovie Ejaria Departs England for Zamalek of Egypt

Former Liverpool midfielder Ovie Ejaria has agreed to join Egyptian giants Zamalek SC.

The 26-year-old, who has previously played for Sunderland, Rangers, and Reading, has already arrived in Cairo ahead of a trial with the club.

Ejaria’s move comes as Zamalek looks to strengthen their squad under the guidance of former Reading manager José Gomes.

Coach Jose Gomes signed Ejaria twice while in charge at Reading and has now lured the young man to Egypt after he was released by Reading last year
