The English Football Association has announced the Young Lions and  Young Lionesses rosters ahead of international matches later this month, with eight Nigeria-eligible players getting invites.

Manchester City midfielder Jane Oboavwoduo and Southampton forward Natasha Udebhulu have been included in the Young Lionesses squad for the second round of the European U17 Championship qualifiers in Finland.

The 2024 Fifa U17 Women’s World Cup semifinalist will take on Sweden on Friday, March 14, followed by games against Netherlands and Finland on March 17 and March 20 respectively.

Chelsea forward Tyrique George has been named in the England U19 squad for the UEFA U19 EURO elite qualifying round this month.

England will begin their campaign against the host nation Wales at Bangor City Stadium on Wednesday, March 19, before facing Turkiye at Deeside Stadium on Saturday, March 22,and concluding against Portugal at the same venue on Tuesday, March 25.

England U18s coach Liam Bramley has selected two talented teenagers of Nigerian descent for a trio of international fixtures against Czechia, France and Portugal.

Arsenal goalkeeper Khari Ranson and West Ham forward Chukwuemeka Adiele have made the squad list.

Meanwhile, at U17 level, Rio Ngumoha, Lanre Awesu and Chinazaekpere Nwosu have been named in England U17s squad for three UEFA U17 EURO elite qualifying round fixtures during the March international window.

The 2017 world champions will do battle with Israel, Slovenia and Northern Ireland in Group 7 of League A at St. George’s Park.

Arsenal attacking midfielder Ethan Nwaneri was not named in the Young Lions’ squads announced on Thursday, all but confirming he is set to earn a first call-up to either the Three Lions or U21s.
