Dyson to hire for 250 tech roles in Singapore as part of 5-year investment plan
“British technology company Dyson plans to hire 450 people globally, with more than half the recruits in its headquarters in Singapore,” Bloomberg reported.
Details:
- The household appliance maker is set to onboard 250 engineers in Singapore, doubling its current software and electronics teams said the firm in a statement.
- Dyson will also hire for 200 science and research positions at its Malmesbury and Hullavington innovation campuses in the UK.
Context:
- The move is part of Dyson’s goal to set aside US$3.8 billion in its five-year investment plan focused on areas such as machine learning and robotics.
- Early in 2019, Dyson moved its headquarters from the UK to Singapore and followed it up with plans to hire 2,000 people across the city-state, as well as in Malaysia and the Philippines, later that year.
