Chairman of the National Sports Commission (NSC), Mallam Shehu Dikko, has assured that all presidential rewards announced for the victorious Super Falcons following their 2026 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations (WAFCON) triumph in Morocco remain on course.
Speaking exclusively to FAKSMEDIA, Dikko disclosed that the Certificates of Occupancy (C of O) for the houses promised to the players, along with their National Honours, are ready and currently in the custody of the National Sports Commission.

“Yes, their houses, C of O and National Honours are ready and in the possession of the NSC and will be handed over to them,” Dikko said.
On the much-anticipated $100,000 presidential cash reward promised to each player, the NSC Chairman explained that the naira equivalent has already received presidential approval and is now undergoing the necessary payment process.
“The $100,000 naira equivalent Presidential Award has since been approved for payment by the President and Commander-in-Chief for immediate payment into their individual accounts. The payment is currently being processed by the Ministry of Finance and the Office of the Accountant General. We are hopeful they will receive it soonest. With the Presidential approval already secured, it is just a matter of time before the funds drop into their accounts,” he stated.
The reassurance from the NSC Chairman is expected to allay concerns over the implementation of the rewards announced by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu in recognition of the Super Falcons’ outstanding achievement in winning the WAFCON title in Morocco.
