He was on his way to Patani to attend a major PDP rally in Ijaw town on the East-West road. Umuame’s car reportedly had a head-on collision with a tanker near Umeh junction along Ughelli/Patani axis of East-West road.

It was learnt his driver died on the spot, while Unuame died in a hospital, where he was rushed to.

The news of Umuame’s death caused uproar at the rally in Patani. Unuame hailed from Akpere-Olomu community in Ughelli South Council of Delta State.
