Daniel Igali Praises CG Adeniyi, Other Board Members Of The Wrestling Federation for Selfless Service
The Nigeria Wrestling Federation President, Daniel Igali has heaped praises on the board members of the Federation. He particularly singled out the Comptroller-General of the Nigeria Customs Service, Bashir Adewale Adeniyi for his sacrificial commitment to the growth of the sport.
This became imperative following selfless role he has played through various support the Federation has received from the (NCS) boss.
Speaking to Journalists in Yenagoa on Thursday, Daniel Igali said that the Wrestling Federation has one of the best board members among Federations in the country.
He noted that the contribution of the Customs Service boss is a testament to the unity and togetherness in the Wrestling Federation, while stressing that other board members have at various times taken it upon themselves to support financially, technically and in other ways to improve the overall output of the Federation.
“I must first commend the Comptroller-General of the Nigeria Customs Service Adeniyi for his magnanimity and concern for the Federation, he also calls especially when he can’t meet up in person to know how things are progressing He doesn’t only call he finds ways to contribute financially by encouraging our athletes and even board members, that is something worth applauding.
Also we have great numbers of board members who daily help our athletes to improve on their game by way of providing technical assistance and administrative expertise.” Igali stated.
Meanwhile, the National Olympic/Africa Games Trials is slated for 3rd to 4th February 2024 in Yenagoa. The trials will serve as yardstick to select the top wrestlers out of 3 wrestlers in 18 Olympic and 4 non Olympic weight categories. Daniel Igali expressed confidence that all the wrestlers will give their optimal best to carry the flag of the nation at the upcoming critical wrestling tournaments.
