Cutting Corners Not In Fubara’s Dev Agenda For Rivers- Simplified Chieftain
A Chieftain of the Simplified Movement, Oyigbo Chapter, Chief Sampson Hart Akaya, has stated that Governor Siminalayi Fubara has zero tolerance for shabby jobs and sharp practices in projects execution and delivery.
Speaking with newsmen recently in Port Harcourt on the corrupt-free face of Rivers State under Governor Fubara’s administration, Akayaemphasised that the Rivers State is committed to quality and would never allow anything that deviates from project specifications.
Chief Sampson Akaya, Prime Minister of Okoloma-Ndoki Council of Traditional Rulers’ and ‘Oyi- Natu – Mba’ of Ndokiland’ said the clarification became imperative following detractors’ allegations against the people’s Governor in this dispensation is in the mood of cutting corners to the detriment of Rivers people.
“I want to state categorically that cutting corners is far from Governor Siminalayi Fubara’sadministration for the past one year and some fraction years ago. The Governor is globally known for his consistent commitment to quality.
“The Governor supervises the construction of all the projects envisaged in the state without permitting kick-back and sharp practices. I urged all politicians in Rivers State and beyond to allow peace to reign in the once a peaceful state, instead of trying to cause political disparities.
“They should allow the Governor to exercise his God- given and mandated governance, where multiple democracy dividends for the people shall be released.
“I admonish all the warring factions in the state to sheathe their swords displeasure against Governor Siminalayi Fubara to shun such a act, as this won’t take us to anywhere,” Chief Sampson Akaya declared.
Meanwhile, Chief Sampson Hart Akaya has thanked Rivers State Governor, Sir SiminalayiFubara for the appointment of Ndoki sons and daughters in positions of authority, such as, Dr. Chisom Kenneth Gbali, as Commissioner for Youth Development; Engr. Gogo Philip, Chairman, Caretaker Committee of OyigboLGA of Rivers State, Hon. Allwell Okere-Ukwu, Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Environment and Dr.( Mrs.) Nancy Nwankwo, member, Governing Council of the Rivers State University(RSU), Port Harcourt, among others.
Chief Sampson Akaya, member of the OyigboCouncil of Traditional Rulers’ and ‘Oyi- Natu-Mba’ of Ndokiland’, used the opportunity to admonish the appointees to bring out their bestin the assignment, and shun cutting corners,greed, sharp practices, by working in tandem with the Governor Siminalayi Fubara’sadministration development mantra, and not do otherwise.
He, however, called on those who don’t wish the state well to see the progress of the people as paramount, and for their selfish interests, adding that whatever is the problem should nail and throw it into the abyss for posterity, rather than causing ungodly habits that does not holds water, and queue behind the Governor be able to perform excellently
